LA 408 (Hooper Road) from Devall Rd to Cimmaron Dr will have a WB lane closure from 3/23/26 to 3/25/26 between the hours of 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM. This closure is necessary to perform geotechnical drilling.

Mayor Evans met with members of RJ Daigle and Sons’ team this morning to finalize a few remaining items on the Wax Road project. While the process certainly tested our patience during daily commutes, we’re extremely pleased with the final result.
We want to thank Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) for their collaborative approach and their willingness to make adjustments that reflect the needs of our community here in Central.
