The National Weather Service (NWS) New Orleans / Baton Rouge has provided an update concerning heavy rainfall this week.
There is a Marginal Risk of Excessive Rainfall Tonight – Sunday.
East Baton Rouge Parish is forecasted to receive 3-4" generally, but some areas could see up to 6".
The majority of the rainfall (2-3") will be tonight - Friday night.
Moderate confidence for flash flooding in localized, low-lying areas - widespread flash flooding is NOT expected.
Severe weather is NOT expected with this system.

The Mayor’s Office had a great time participating in Career Day at Central Middle School!
The mayor and the PIO enjoyed meeting so many bright, curious students who asked thoughtful, intelligent questions about how city government works and what it means to serve our community.

It'll be threatening freezing tomorrow morning for much of SE LA/S MS along and north of the I-10/I-12 corridor, with the best chances being farther north. There is potential of 1 to 5 hours at or below freezing.
