🚧✨ While Wax Road may be full of cones and delays, Mayor Wade Evans, his PIO Jenn Kimble, and friend Chelsey Roy were out today spreading something better than traffic updates—a little Jesus! 🙌
As folks sat in line during construction, they were greeted with a smile and handed a Pocket Jesus—just a small reminder that you’re never alone, even in the middle of a work zone.
Because let’s be honest… we could all use a little Jesus (especially in traffic). ❤️

We are just shy of heat advisory criteria for today, but it'll still be very hot Wednesday! Heat index values are forecasted to be as high as 107. Make sure to take heat safety precautions: drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade/AC, and know the signs of heat illness!

"While we are flushing you may possibly experience lower pressure than normal and could have a tint in the water. If you use any water in your home during the posted flush times you may draw this water into your plumbing system. Toilets and hot water heaters have tanks that can keep this water around long after we are done. If you continue to have discoloration or cloudy water after the posted flush has ended, please let the cold water tap in your kitchen run for approximately 3-5 minutes. If the cold water in the kitchen is clear and the hot water and toilets still have a tint, they may require a brief flush. If any of these issues continue after the posted flush times, please call us at 225-925-2011."
